We collect very limited information, primarily to provide and improve the App's core functionality and manage your subscription.

A. Information You Provide to Us

• Audio Input: When you use the translation feature, you provide audio input via your device's microphone.

• Customer Support Data: If you contact us for support, we collect the information you provide, such as your email address and details of your inquiry.

B. Information We Collect Automatically

• Usage Data: We collect anonymous, aggregated data about how you use the App. This includes features used, buttons tapped, purchase history (e.g., which subscription tier you are on), and performance metrics like app crashes. This data does not identify you personally and is used to improve the App's stability and user experience.

• Device Information: We may collect basic information about your mobile device, such as the model, operating system version, and preferred language, to ensure the App functions correctly on your hardware.

C. Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or other personally identifiable information (PII)to create an account. The App uses anonymous authentication methods linked to your device or app store ID.

• We do not store your translation history on our servers. All records of your past conversations and translated text are stored locally on your device. If you uninstall the App or clear its data, this history will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered by us.

 

2. How We Use Your Information

 

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To Provide the Service: Your audio input is temporarily processed to convert speech to text, translate that text into your target language, and generate spoken audio output.

• To Manage Your Subscription: We use data from Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) to verify your current subscription status (e.g., Trial, Traveler, Pro) and enable the appropriate features.

• To Improve the App: We use aggregated, anonymous usage data to identify popular features, detect bugs, and make informed decisions about future updates.

• To Ensure Fair Use: We track the total duration of audio you process and the length of text generated to enforce the usage limits associated with your subscription plan, as described in our Terms of Service. This tracking is tied to your anonymous account ID, not your personal identity.

 

3. How We Share Your Information

 

We do not sell your personal information. We only share information with third-party service providers that are essential to the App's functionality.

• AI & Cloud Processing Providers: To perform high-quality translations, your audio input and the resulting text must be sent to third-party cloud providers for processing. These currently include:

  • OpenAI: For natural language processing and translation.

  • Google Cloud Platform: For speech-to-text and text-to-speech services. These providers are authorized to use your data only as necessary to provide these services to us and are obligated to protect it. Your data is sent to them temporarily for the sole purpose of generating the translation and is not used to train their public models.

• Analytics Partners: We use third-party analytics tools, such as Google Analytics for Firebase, to collect anonymous usage data. These tools may use identifiers like your advertising ID to collect this data, but it is not linked to your personal identity.

• Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect and defend our rights or property, or protect the personal safety of users of the App or the public.

 

4. Data Retention

 

• Translation Content: Your audio inputs and translated text are processed in real-time and are not retained on our servers after the translation is complete. Your translation history is retained locally on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App.

• Subscription & Usage Data: We retain anonymous data related to your subscription status and aggregate usage metrics for as long as is necessary to provide the Service and for legitimate business purposes, such as analytics and fraud prevention.

 

5. Security

 

We take reasonable measures to help protect information about you from loss, theft, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. However, no transmission over the internet or electronic storage method is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

 

6. Children's Privacy

 

The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information.
